Cast concrete with formwork marks

In your harnessProcedural textureMIT

Generate tileable PBR maps of cast concrete: cement mottling, bug holes, smooth, board-formed or panel formwork marks with tie holes, water stains, exposed aggregate and polished floors. Use for walls, floors and brutalist architecture.

Render of Cast concrete with formwork marks
The render its check recorded in Godot 4.7.2, 256 by 256 pixels.

What it takes and gives

Entry point
generate
Maps
albedo, normal, roughness, height, ao
Parameters
formwork, panels, bug_holes, mottling, stains, aggregate, polish, hue_shift and 2 more
Presets
default, board_formed, tie_hole_panels, weathered, polished_floor
Tileable
yes
Command line
python concrete_cast.py --size 1024 --seed 7 --preset NAME --out DIR [--width W --height H] [--set NAME=VALUE] [--directx-normal] [--orm]
Godot material
material.tres
Blender builder
blender_material.build_material(folder)

Limits. Formwork marks are idealized: boards are horizontal and panels square, with four tie holes per panel. Stains always run toward the bottom of the tile. Aggregate stones are Voronoi cells. Occlusion is a blurred-height estimate.

Godot 4.7.2, gl_compatibility
Checks
command line generates declared maps, maps decode, maps have declared size and channels, maps tile without a seam, normal vectors unit length facing out, maps carry detail, godot imports the maps, godot material template loads every map, godot compatibility render, capture shows the textured surface, blender builds the material
Techniques
Fractional Brownian motion for cement mottling, Round stamps for bug holes, Board grain imprint from stretched noise and per-board offsets, Downward exponential trail per column, swept twice for wrap-around, Worley cells for exposed aggregate
