Galvanized steel spangle
In your harnessProcedural textureMIT
Generate tileable PBR maps of hot-dip galvanized steel: zinc crystals (spangles) that each take their own brightness and roughness, feathered dendrites inside every crystal, and optional dull white zinc corrosion. Use for ducts, railings, buckets, roofing and industrial props.

What it takes and gives
- Entry point
- generate
- Maps
- albedo, normal, roughness, metallic, height, ao
- Parameters
- crystals_across, contrast, dendrites, white_rust, hue_shift, saturation, brightness
- Presets
- default, minimized, weathered, bold_spangle
- Tileable
- yes
- Command line
- python galvanized_spangle.py --size 1024 --seed 7 --preset NAME --out DIR [--width W --height H] [--set NAME=VALUE] [--directx-normal] [--orm]
- Godot material
- material.tres
- Blender builder
- blender_material.build_material(folder)
Limits. Each crystal's brightness is baked into albedo and roughness; real spangle changes with the angle of light and view, which fixed maps cannot reproduce. Dendrites are a stylized stripe-and-herringbone pattern. White rust is a flat dielectric overlay. Occlusion is a blurred-height estimate, not ray traced.
