Pipe run with bent elbows and flanges

In your harnessBlender toolMIT

Sweep a pipe along a polyline of corner points, replacing every corner by a tangent elbow of a given bend radius, with a twist-free section and optional flanges at the ends and joints. Use it for plumbing, industrial plants, sci-fi corridors and cable conduits.

What it takes and gives

Operator

Parameters
points, radius, bend_radius, sides, bend_segments, flanges, flange_ratio
Result
One smooth-shaded closed mesh object named Pipe Run.
Blender
4.2 or later
Axes

Limits. Solid pipe without an inner bore; the wall thickness is not modelled. Elbows are circular arcs of one bend radius; tees, reducers and valves are not generated. Flanges are plain cylinders that overlap the pipe rather than being merged with it. A path that turns back on itself, or a run shorter than its two elbows need, is refused. Verified in Blender 5.2.1; written for the 4.2 API.
