Barrel from bulged staves, hoops and heads
In your harnessBlender toolMIT
Generate a cooper-style barrel: separate bulged staves with gaps, iron hoops that follow the bilge and recessed head discs, each a closed solid with its own material slot, plus the outer volume in litres. Use it for taverns, cellars, ships and game props.

What it takes and gives
- Operator
- baltor.barrel_staves
- Parameters
- height, head_radius, bilge_radius, staves, stave_thickness, gap, rows, hoops and 2 more
- Result
- One mesh object named Barrel with stave, hoop and head material slots.
- Blender
- 4.2 or later
- Axes
- Blender Z up, -Y forward
- Units
- metres
Limits. The bilge is a parabola in height, not a measured cooperage curve. Staves are faceted (one chord per stave across its width) and have no bevel, chime chamfer or bung hole. Hoops are plain rectangular bands with no rivets. The volume is the outer volume from the profile, not the inner capacity. Verified in Blender 5.2.1; written for the 4.2 API.
