Blueprint x-ray with dashed hidden lines
In your harnessGodot shaderMIT
Show a mesh as a see-through blueprint drawing: solid white contour lines on front faces, dashed lines for contours on hidden back faces, a faint object-space graph paper grid and a translucent blue fill.

What it takes and gives
- Shader type
- spatial
- Render modes
- unshaded, cull_disabled, depth_draw_never, shadows_disabled
- Parameters
- fill_color (vec4 = 0.08, 0.26, 0.58, 0.25), line_color (vec4 = 0.9, 0.96, 1, 1), contour_width (float = 0.25), dash_pixels (float = 10), hidden_opacity (float = 0.55), grid_size (float = 0.1), grid_opacity (float = 0.25)
- Result
- A transparent blue object drawn with white contour lines, dashed where they are behind the surface, over faint grid paper.
- Renderers
- compatibility: compiled and rendered, forward plus: not verified, mobile: not verified
- Placement
- res://baltor/godot_shaders/blueprint_schematic/
Limits. Contour lines come from the facing ratio, so flat faces seen edge-on fill completely and creases between flat faces are not drawn. Dashes run diagonally in screen space and do not follow the curve. Not sorted against other transparent objects.
