Diamond tread plate
In your harnessProcedural textureMIT
Generate tileable PBR maps of diamond tread plate (checker plate): elongated raised lugs in alternating diagonals, polished lug tops, dirt in the valleys and paint worn through to bare metal. Use for floors, steps, ramps, truck beds and industrial props.

What it takes and gives
- Entry point
- generate
- Maps
- albedo, normal, roughness, metallic, height, ao
- Parameters
- lugs_across, lug_length, lug_width, wear, dirt, paint, hue_shift, saturation and 1 more
- Presets
- default, steel_dirty, painted_yellow, fine_pattern
- Tileable
- yes
- Command line
- python diamond_plate.py --size 1024 --seed 7 --preset NAME --out DIR [--width W --height H] [--set NAME=VALUE] [--directx-normal] [--orm]
- Godot material
- material.tres
- Blender builder
- blender_material.build_material(folder)
Limits. Lugs are identical capsules on a regular grid; real plates differ in lug shape by standard and maker. Wear follows lug height and noise, not walking paths. The lug relief is large for a normal map alone, so parallax or displacement helps at close range. Occlusion is a blurred-height estimate, not ray traced.
