Displaced icosphere rock with fractured facets
In your harnessBlender toolMIT
Generate a closed rock mesh from a seed: an icosphere displaced by fractal value noise, sheared by random planes into flat facets and flattened at the base. Use it for props, scatter sources and level dressing.

What it takes and gives
- Operator
- baltor.rock_displaced
- Parameters
- seed, subdivisions, radius, dimensions, roughness, frequency, octaves, cuts and 3 more
- Result
- One closed mesh object named Rock with a UVMap and one material slot.
- Blender
- 4.2 or later
- Axes
- Blender Z up, -Y forward
- Units
- metres
Limits. Displacement is radial, so overhangs and deep cracks cannot form. The noise is value noise on an integer lattice, which shows mild grid alignment at low octave counts. Strong cuts or a high flat base can produce long thin triangles. One material slot with a flat colour; no texture or weathering. Verified in Blender 5.2.1; written for the 4.2 API.
