Encaustic cement tiles with symmetric inlay motifs

In your harnessProcedural textureMIT

Generate tileable PBR maps of encaustic cement tiles: inlaid colour motifs with the eightfold symmetry of the square (stars, florals, nested geometry, rosettes in frames) whose edge shapes join across tiles, on matte cement with pores and wear. Use for kitchens, bathrooms and cafe floors.

Render of Encaustic cement tiles with symmetric inlay motifs
The render its check recorded in Godot 4.7.2, 256 by 256 pixels.

Limits. Motifs come from four families of simple shapes (stars, discs, rings, petals, squares, diamonds, frames) varied by motif_variant; free-form floral drawing and real catalogue patterns are out of scope. Every tile carries the same motif, so layouts that rotate or alternate tiles are not produced. Inlay colours are flat with softened boundaries; wear and pores are noise approximations. Occlusion is a blurred-height estimate, not ray traced.

Checks
command line generates declared maps, maps decode, maps have declared size and channels, maps tile without a seam, normal vectors unit length facing out, maps carry detail, godot imports the maps, godot material template loads every map, godot compatibility render, capture shows the textured surface, blender builds the material
Techniques
Folding a point into one octant of the square for D4 symmetry, Painter's-order signed-distance layers: polar star, discs, rings, ellipse petals, Chebyshev squares, Manhattan diamonds, Mirror-symmetric edges so corner and edge shapes join across tiles, Smoothstep coverage for softened inlay boundaries, Fractional Brownian motion for faded wear, Height to tangent-space normal by central differences
